Casey
Casey Ellis was not born into a “Christian” family. His parents were divorced young and he moved around quite a bit. His story is a familiar one. He once was lost but now he is found, was blind but now he sees. Years after his mother remarried Casey and his family put their trust in Jesus and began to follow Him. It’s been a long road for Casey but God has been patient with him. Feeling the Lords leading into full time ministry a year out of high school Casey embarked to serve the Lord with the rest of his days, though it’s a pretty pathetic attempt at times. The Lord has taken Casey for a tour in Japan teaching English and through the dusty plains of Wyoming for his Bible school education. Casey once anticipated tribal church planting on a small south pacific island but has been placed by God’s sovereign hand on a more urban island, working with “tribal youth”
Casey loves adventure and the satisfaction of walking with Jesus. Casey enjoys sports, playing guitar, and being a spectator of God’s creation. He loves to read and has way more books on his list to read than he has time for. He hopes for a family someday if it’s part of Gods plan for his journey in this life. Casey tries not to be satisfied with status quo and likes to challenge his own and others thinking. Green tea holds a special place in his heart. He has been known on occasion to make videos with pink flamingos. The thing that breaks his heart most is when he is faithless to his God and when those he’s pouring himself into fail to be satisfied in Jesus. Casey tries to remind himself often of Jesus’ return so he doesn’t get too comfortable here.
