Valerie

ValValerie grew up vaguely understanding what the gospel of Jesus Christ was all about. When she began attending Drexel University in Philadelphia, a committed group of college students helped her learn how to truly bind her heart to this truth of Christ. While she studied interior design in the city, the Lord also taught her the importance of fellowship through close friendships and family at Grace Covenant Church. During this time Valerie learned that you don’t just show up at church on Sunday mornings to get something for yourself, but you go to see the work of the Spirit in others lives and learn how to serve them as Christ would.

In summer 2007, the Lord (once again) provided Valerie with a job back home at the Jersey shore so she could be closer to her immediate family. Since then, a new group of believers has welcomed her to Grace Calvary Church, where she serves Jesus through the youth ministry. Aside from being an interior designer, Valerie invests a lot of time in riding bikes, music and ice cream.  She recently stumbled upon Eiskaffee while in Germany and thinks everyone should explore this magnificent coffee/ice cream combo drink.

Wherever the Lord takes Valerie, she wants to live out Jesus’ Way by forming close, honest relationships with young people. Her desire is to see a younger generation explore their faith and search their hearts for how they respond to Jesus in their everyday lives.
